Hi, Iā€™m Danielle Lockard.

I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in addition to being a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) and ACE Certified Personal Trainer (ACE-CPT). I have a strong passion for diabetes nutrition, but also specialize in weight loss, heart health, vegetarian nutrition, and mindful eating techniques. I have spent the majority of my career providing nutrition counseling both individually and in groups.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from West Chester University in Nutrition and Dietetics. A few years later after working as a food service manager in a hospital, I finally went after my dream of becoming a dietitian and completed my 1200 hour internship through Priority Nutrition Care. After passing the exam to earn my RD credentials, I landed my dream job at Springfield Hospital working split time for their Outpatient Nutrition Center and Diabetes Center. I knew since college that I wanted to work in outpatient rather than in a clinical setting. I love that counseling allows me the ability to know my clients on a personal level, help them transform, and witness their successes along the way. I have been so very fortunate that my career allows me the opportunity to serve my passion in helping others learn how to be healthy and feel well.

I can't wait to meet you and help guide you on the path to a lifestyle that will benefit both your body and mind!

My Approach

Studying nutrition and dietetics saved me and my struggles with health and weight and I want it to help you too. Because of this, I believe that knowledge is power. I help my clients by educating them about nutrition along the way. Understanding the reasoning for making changes is the key to long term success.

I also believe in the power of small changes. A lifestyle change can be daunting, but becoming healthier shouldn't be. There is no need to take leaps and bounds to the finish line. We'll get you to your end goal in the time your personal journey takes, but you shouldn't feel overwhelmed or restricted along the way. A diet is a noun for the way we eat, and my goal is to help you find a diet that you enjoy and fits into your life but also is nourishing to your body.
